Over One Hundred page layouts, One CSS File: Y!UI to the rescue
The Yahoo! User Interface library has made a second release. This one now includes a CSS Grid Kit which allows you to create hundreds of css-based page layouts and it's only 1.82k
This is very nice. Lots of flexibility using the CSS grid kit to design very nice looking pages.

Recording earthquakes on the sea floor by ZDNet's Roland Piquepaille -- The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) has developed a new kind of ocean bottom seismometers (OBSs) to record both small and large earthquakes on the sea floor. Forty of them will be deployed at the beginning of 2007 in an area of the Eastern Pacific Ocean in order to better understand earthquake processes.
